May Update 2013

May update 2013

I am sitting here on a train on my way back home to Bistrita. I have another 7 hours to go and was reflecting back on the conference this past weekend. Its a strange feeling be really tired and blessed at the same time. Tired because its been a very full weekend of teaching and answering questions and serving the body here. Blessed because of the type of questions that were being asked on how to break cycles of abuse and neglect and actually seek to raise families according to God's word.  To  talk with those in the church who were beginning to understand what needs to change and then prayerfully by God's grace and the power of the Holy Spirit embrace a new way of doing things.  One of the ladies was so excited about the conference that she recorded the whole thing on her phone and later apologized to me for not asking if that was ok. Her reason was simple, she wanted to share it with her daughter, who had small children and did not live in the area.

Praise report:

Conference was a blessing for everyone.

Prayer requests:

Please keep the missionaries who are selflessly servicing in this area for many years in your prayers. For Strength, Grace, patience and wisdom. Thanks Steve and Alice for your continued faithfulness and your great team.

Prayer for the families that came that they would continue to grow and mature in The Lord. That the Holy Spirit would remind them of the the things we learned in scripture. That they would by faith embrace and continue to grow in the grace of God in raising their families. That God's word would break the cycle that seems so common in this culture.

Pray also for the upcoming pastor/elder retreat. That would refresh and give vision to the men who attend this in June.
